Some time back we ran an article that reported the Mooresville Golf Course had been losing money for the past several years. We noted that private courses turn a profit, despite having to pay taxes from which the municipal course is exempt.

In response to research by a private citizen, the town conducted an audit that revealed that several-thousand dollars of merchandise was missing. The Town Commissioners have requested a full-scale investigation by the SBI.
